Bohaterską działalność Generała podczas okupacji, a także jego nieprzejednaną postawę w czasie procesu wytoczonego po wojnie przez aparat komunistycznego terroru, traktować można jako syntezę losu wielu Polaków, tych najlepszych, nigdy niepokonanych.

The good the nation and soldierly honesty were the most important motives in the life of General August Emil Fieldorf (codename "Nil"), one of the most exceptional soldiers of "Fighting Poland", who commanded the "Kedyw" [Directorate of Diversionary Action] of the High Command of the Polish Home Army. His heroic actions during the occupation, and also his uncompromising stance during his post-war trial at the hands of the apparatus of communist terror, could be regarded as a synthesis of the fate of many Poles, the best ones; those who were never defeated.
